Speed by age

How to Pick the Right Setting

Powerhouse pitching machines are adjustable across the full speed range. Here’s a rough guide:

Soft toss / 25 mph: Ages 4–6. Tee work and short-distance underhand toss.

30–40 mph: Ages 7–9. Building swing mechanics and contact reliability.

45–55 mph: Ages 10–11. Game-realistic for youth league. Most travel ball Little League divisions.

60–65 mph: Ages 11–13. Major Little League / 12U travel ball game speeds.

65–75 mph: Ages 13–15. JV / freshman HS varsity speeds.

75–85 mph: Ages 15–18. Varsity HS, college-prep recruit work.

Fastpitch arc: Calibrated separately — softball machines deliver proper rise/drop trajectory at age-appropriate speeds.
