Private Hitting Lessons

1-on-1 coaching from Powerhouse hitting instructors. Mechanics, drills, swing path, and game-realistic reps in your own cage.

What you get

Real Coaching, Not a Cage Pass

A Powerhouse hitting lesson is 30 or 60 minutes of dedicated time with a Powerhouse coach in a private cage. We diagnose your swing on the first session — load, stride, hip rotation, hand path, contact point, finish — and build a plan from there.

You hit. The coach watches, films, adjusts, demonstrates. You hit again with the correction. You finish the lesson with concrete drills you can take to your own cage time.

What We Work On

  • Swing mechanics — load, stride, sequencing, hand path, finish
  • Contact point — front, center, and back of plate
  • Pitch recognition — fastball, curveball, off-speed
  • Two-strike approach — shorten up, foul off, battle
  • Approach by count — get-ahead vs. defensive
  • Bunt mechanics — sacrifice and drag

Coach Pairings

We match each player to a coach based on age, level, and goals. Travel ball and high school hitters typically work with our most experienced instructors; youth players (5–10) get coaches who specialize in fundamentals.

Common questions

Hitting Lesson FAQ

How often should my player take lessons?

Most committed players take one lesson per week, supplemented by 1–2 cage sessions on their own. For serious off-season development, two lessons per week works well.

What ages are lessons for?

We coach from age 6 through high school varsity and college-prep level.

Do parents stay?

Parents are welcome to watch. Most do for younger players; teens often prefer parents wait in the lobby.

Should I bring my own bat?

Yes — your bat is part of your swing. We have rentals if needed.
